ICAN is still accepting applications for scholarship placements for its national “Indigenous Financial Counselling Mentorship Program” (IFCMP) commencing in July 2015.
ICAN would like every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander scholarship applicant to be granted the opportunity to apply for the 2015-2016 “Indigenous Financial Counselling Mentorship Program”, in order to undertake the Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling). The scholarship application intake is open in order give consideration to funding delays being experienced across the financial counselling, financial capability and community services sectors.
The Indigenous Financial Counselling Mentorship Program Scholarships are sponsored by Commonwealth Bank and are available to assist students who are currently working in the Financial Capability / Money Management and Financial Counselling sector(s) to successfully undertake the Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling) in 2015-2016. The program will run for 18 months and offers personal and academic mentorship in a supported learning environment, connecting students through face-to-face classroom and online oriented training.
The CBA IFCMP Scholarships cover the full course fees for the Diploma and is limited to 24 places, and are co-ordinated and managed by the Indigenous Consumer Assistance Network.
