Remediation available for Optus customers impacted by inappropriate sales practices

Optus is taking action to make things right for customers, following Federal Court proceedings by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) against Optus for sales misconduct.

This misconduct involved the sale of Optus products (such as a phone, iPad, tablet or any accessories) and services (such as connecting to a mobile network).

Have you been sold an Optus product or service that you did not want or need, or could not afford, or could not use where you lived?

If so, Optus would like to speak with you, as you may be eligible for a refund.

The remediation program has been developed in collaboration with financial counselling services and other independent experts to ensure it is fair, simple and accessible in every community.

More information can be found on the Sales Misconduct page or in the Corrective Notice. Support is available by contacting Optus directly on 1300 082 820 or or by speaking with a financial counsellor via the National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007 or by speaking with an ICAN financial counsellor on 1800 295 197 (8.00am-3.30pm QLD time, Monday to Friday).
